Job Brief
As an On Air Director, you will oversee and produce engaging stage, television, radio, video, or film productions aimed at entertainment, information, or instruction. This role requires strong creative leadership to interpret scripts, select actors or guests, and make pivotal decisions on set design, sound, special effects, and choreography. Responsibilities
- Lead the production of stage, television, radio, video, or film projects, ensuring high-quality content delivery.
- Interpret scripts and develop creative concepts that align with project goals and audience expectations.
- Select and direct actors or guests, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance performance.
- Coordinate set design, sound, special effects, and choreography to create visually compelling productions.
- Work closely with writers, producers, and technical staff to ensure seamless integration of all production elements.
- Manage production budgets and timelines, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Conduct pre-production meetings to align vision and expectations with the entire production team.
- Monitor live broadcasts or recordings, making real-time adjustments to ensure optimal viewer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an On Air Director or in a similar production role within the entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of production processes and technical aspects of stage and broadcast media.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
- Proficiency in industry-standard production software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree in Film, Broadcasting, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong creative vision with an eye for detail and storytelling.
