Job Brief

As an Oil Rig Roughneck, you will play a vital role in the drilling operations by assembling and repairing oil field equipment using hand and power tools. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of drilling equipment and tools.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on oil field machinery and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the drilling crew to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to the rig supervisor.
  • Participate in rig cleaning and housekeeping activities to maintain operational standards.
  • Support the crew in the transport of materials and equipment as needed.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support drilling operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas operations or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work long hours and be on call as required.
  • Certification in safety training programs (e.g., H2S Awareness, First Aid) is preferred.
