Job Brief

As a Nursery Day Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in various settings, including schools, businesses, private households, and childcare institutions. Your primary responsibilities will include dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play activities for young children. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in play, promoting social interaction and emotional development.
  • Assist children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
  • Create and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and behavior.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Observe and document children’s behavior, development, and learning milestones.
  • Collaborate with other childcare professionals to support children’s needs and development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Child Development or Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a positive, engaging environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on the needs of the children and families served.
