Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and development in nuclear engineering projects to innovate and improve nuclear energy applications.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to nuclear radiation and energy production, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Design and implement systems for the management and disposal of nuclear waste, emphasizing environmental safety.
  • Evaluate radiation shielding and protection measures to minimize exposure risks to personnel and the public.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure adherence to nuclear regulations and standards.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation, presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in nuclear engineering, radiation safety, and waste management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in relevant simulation and modeling software.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing nuclear energy and radiation safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Certification in Health Physics or related credentials is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
