Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Newspaper Deliverer to efficiently deliver newspapers to designated routes within an established territory. This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to navigate routes effectively, and a customer-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will possess experience in delivery services, a valid driver’s license, and a strong understanding of local geography, along with the ability to handle payments and manage inventory at delivery points.
Responsibilities
- Drive a vehicle along established routes to deliver newspapers to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate and prompt delivery, adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Collect payments and maintain transaction records, ensuring accuracy in financial handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from customers during deliveries.
- Manage and organize delivery inventory, stocking and restocking materials as needed.
- Maintain the vehicle in good condition, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and administrative staff regarding delivery issues or changes.
- Report any delivery challenges or customer feedback to improve service quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in delivery or logistics roles.
- Strong knowledge of local streets and neighborhoods.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and basic accounting for deliveries.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established routes.
- Good physical stamina to lift and carry newspaper bundles.
