Job Brief
The Oil Field Pumper plays a critical role in the extraction of oil and gas by operating power pumps and auxiliary equipment. This position requires hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, along with strong mechanical skills to ensure efficient production flow from wells. Responsibilities
- Operate power pumps and auxiliary equipment to facilitate the flow of oil and gas from wells.
- Monitor and record production data, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on pumping equipment to prevent downtime.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency.
- Implement safety protocols and practices to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of operational activities and equipment performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform necessary corrective actions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Oil Field Pumper or similar role in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Knowledge of oil and gas extraction processes and industry regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Certifications in safety training (e.g., H2S Awareness, First Aid) are advantageous.
