Job Brief
The Network Systems Coordinator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and server infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and analytical skills to ensure optimal performance and security of network resources. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network management, system monitoring, and user access control, alongside excellent problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, data communications networks, and server systems.
- Monitor system performance and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources.
- Review system and application logs to ensure successful completion of scheduled jobs, including backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption to optimize performance and control user access.
- Install software updates and upgrades while maintaining software licenses and compliance.
- Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination of data communication hardware and software.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with operating systems, both physical and virtual servers.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and performance analysis.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
