Job Brief
As a Network Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and server environments. This role requires a solid understanding of network operations, including system monitoring, resource management, and user access control. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in server administration and have a proactive approach to optimizing network performance while ensuring system integrity and availability.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources.
- Review system and application logs to ensure the completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption and implement strategies for efficient usage.
- Control user access and manage permissions across network systems.
- Install and upgrade software applications while ensuring compliance with software licensing.
- Assist in network modeling, analysis, and planning for hardware and software integration.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and operating systems.
- Experience with server virtualization technologies and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and best practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
