Job Brief
As a Network Support Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our organization’s network infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will include analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating various network systems such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, and servers. Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate existing network systems to identify performance issues and areas for improvement.
- Test and troubleshoot network connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
- Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network solutions and enhance overall system efficiency.
- Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools and respond promptly to alerts.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network-related issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Support Technician or similar role in network administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to network systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide user support.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
