Job Brief

The Network Diagnostic Support Specialist is responsible for analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, and servers. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of data communications networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network maintenance and ensure optimal network performance with minimal disruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot network connectivity issues to ensure seamless data communication.
  • Evaluate existing network systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Perform regular maintenance on LAN, WAN, and cloud networks to prevent interruptions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement network solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Monitor network performance and security to detect potential threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
