Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of newborns to diagnose medical conditions and formulate treatment plans.
  • Administer appropriate medical therapies, interventions, and procedures to manage neonatal health issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of neonatal patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with pediatric specialists and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Provide education and support to families regarding their infant’s health and medical needs.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in neonatal care.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics with a fellowship in Neonatology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in managing critically ill neonates.
  • Proficiency in advanced neonatal life support (NALS) and other relevant certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments and make critical decisions rapidly.
