Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in various settings, including private households, schools, and childcare institutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing and supervising children, ensuring their safety, and engaging them in productive play and learning activities. A strong background in childcare and a passion for child development are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during play and educational activities.
- Assist children with daily routines, including dressing, feeding, and bathing.
- Conduct age-appropriate activities that promote physical and intellectual development.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for children at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents about children’s progress and needs.
- Manage and organize children’s schedules, including school drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Implement discipline strategies consistent with family values and guidelines.
- Monitor children’s behavior and address any issues that arise promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Nanny or in a similar childcare role.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Background check clearance and references from previous employers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in child development or related fields is a plus.
