Job Brief
The Multi Operation Forming Machine Setter is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending multiple types of cutting and forming machine tools or robots. This role requires a skilled technician with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, precision machining, and quality control. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in operating various machinery and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate multiple cutting and forming machines according to specifications.
- Operate and monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machine settings and processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations while operating machinery.
- Train new operators on machine setup, operation, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine setter or operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cutting and forming machine tools and operational procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as required.
