Responsibilities

- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to facilitate investigations and compliance efforts.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings, including recommendations for improvements and compliance measures.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations to keep the organization informed and compliant.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and ethical practices within the mortuary sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mortuary science, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Proven experience in compliance investigation, regulatory affairs, or a similar role within the funeral services industry.
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to mortuary practices and licensing.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills for evaluating compliance and risk management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Proficient in using investigation tools and compliance management software.
- Certification as a Mortician or Funeral Director may be preferred or required.
