Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records for deceased individuals, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Assist physicians and medical staff with clinical duties, including preparing bodies for examination and autopsy.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate logistics for post-mortem examinations and related services.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the morgue and related facilities.
- Support family members and loved ones by providing compassionate assistance during their time of loss.
- Document and report any unusual findings or circumstances to the supervising physician.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment in the morgue.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a morgue or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to post-mortem care.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
