Job Brief

The University Registrar plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of student records and academic information within a higher education institution.   • Oversee the maintenance and security of academic records systems to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to support curriculum development and academic planning.
  • Provide leadership and training to staff regarding registrar functions and best practices in records management.
  • Manage the registration process, including course scheduling, registration deadlines, and student advising.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to assist in decision-making and strategic planning for academic initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrative offices to resolve issues related to academic records and registration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a registrar’s office or similar administrative role within a higher education setting.
  • Strong understanding of FERPA regulations and best practices in records management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in student information systems (SIS) and office software, including databases and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and generate reports for academic planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and training staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
