Job Brief
As a Mining Helper, you will support skilled extraction craft workers in various mining operations, including earth drillers, blasters, and derrick operators. Responsibilities
- Assist skilled workers in the setup and operation of mining equipment and machinery.
- Supply tools and materials to drillers, blasters, and machine operators as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report any issues to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge of mining operations.
- Support the team in the transportation of materials and waste as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in mining or construction is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of mining operations and safety practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from skilled workers.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation of equipment.
