Job Brief

As a Mining Helper, you will support skilled extraction craft workers in various mining operations, including earth drillers, blasters, and derrick operators. This entry-level position involves assisting in the safe and efficient extraction of minerals and resources by performing less skilled tasks such as supplying equipment, maintaining tools, and ensuring a clean work area. Ideal candidates possess a strong work ethic, good physical stamina, and the ability to work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled workers in the setup and operation of mining equipment and machinery.
  • Supply tools and materials to drillers, blasters, and machine operators as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge of mining operations.
  • Support the team in the transportation of materials and waste as required.

Requirements
