Job Brief
As a Mining Excavator Backhoe Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically backhoes and excavators, at surface mining sites. Your primary role will involve excavating and loading loose materials such as soil, rock, and minerals using scoops, shovels, and buckets. Responsibilities
- Operate backhoes and excavators to excavate, load, and transport materials at mining sites.

- Follow safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to determine excavation needs and project specifications.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, specifically with backhoes and excavators.
- Valid operator’s license and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, MSHA) are mandatory.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and excavation techniques.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
