The Middle School Paraeducator plays a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students in a middle school setting. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational programs for middle school students.
- Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Facilitate a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources to support lesson objectives.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to address individual student needs.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly with middle school students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with instructional technology and educational software.
- Knowledge of child development and learning strategies.
- First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
- Background checks and clearances as per school district regulations.
