As a Medical Record Transcriber, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare documentation process by accurately transcribing medical reports recorded by physicians and other healthcare practitioners. Responsibilities

  • Transcribe dictated medical reports from healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Edit and format medical documents for clarity, coherence, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Return finalized reports in printed or electronic form for review, signature, or correction.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and transcription software to streamline workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in transcriptions.
  • Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical transcription preferred.
  • Proficient typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
