Job Brief
As a Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will perform complex surgical procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions to treat diseases, injuries, or defects. This role requires a high level of expertise in diagnosing issues within these areas and performing surgeries that enhance both function and appearance. Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures on the oral and maxillofacial regions to correct deformities, treat diseases, and repair injuries.
- Diagnose and evaluate conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, and face using advanced imaging techniques and clinical assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including dentists, orthodontists, and oncologists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer anesthesia and maintain patient safety during surgical procedures.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and follow-up assessments.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in maxillofacial surgery and contribute to research initiatives.
- Document patient records accurately and manage case files in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote oral health awareness.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in maxillofacial surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Strong knowledge of surgical techniques, anesthesia, and patient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Current state medical license and malpractice insurance.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
