Job Brief
The Manufacturing Millwright is responsible for installing, dismantling, and relocating machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. This role requires a skilled technician with a strong background in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating expertise in machinery operation and repair, as well as a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install machinery and equipment based on layout plans and specifications.
- Dismantle and move heavy equipment as needed for maintenance or relocation.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar mechanical role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with welding and fabrication tools and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate forklifts and other machinery.
