Job Brief
As a Man Portable Air Defense System Crewmember, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness of air defense operations. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain man-portable air defense systems, ensuring readiness for deployment.
- Conduct targeting and firing operations to engage aerial threats effectively.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on weapons and support equipment.
- Test and inspect ammunition, missiles, and related systems for operational integrity.
- Establish and maintain reliable radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Utilize weapons targeting and firing computer systems to enhance engagement accuracy.
- Participate in training exercises to improve individual and team performance in air defense operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure workplace safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in air defense systems is preferred.
- Experience operating missile systems or related defense technologies.
- Strong understanding of military tactics and air defense operations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certifications in weapons handling and safety protocols are a plus.
- Willingness to travel and participate in field exercises and deployments.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and operate heavy equipment.
