Job Brief
The Mail Deliverer plays a crucial role in sorting and delivering mail for the United States Postal Service (USPS). Responsibilities
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail accurately to prepare for delivery.
- Deliver mail on assigned routes efficiently, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations during delivery operations.
- Handle and transport mail securely, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on postal service policies and technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for vehicle deliveries.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages, as well as walk long distances.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in sorting and delivering mail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of postal regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or similar roles is preferred.
