The Lock Expert is a skilled professional responsible for repairing and opening various types of locks, creating new keys, changing lock combinations, and installing or repairing safes. With a strong foundation in locksmithing techniques and tools, the Lock Expert ensures security and functionality for residential, commercial, and industrial locking mechanisms. Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience in the locksmithing field, alongside a keen understanding of modern security systems and traditional lock mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning locks and locking mechanisms to maintain security integrity.
- Open locks using specialized tools while minimizing damage to the locking system.
- Fabricate new keys and duplicate existing keys using key cutting equipment.
- Install, change, and repair locks and safes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Change safe combinations and troubleshoot safe-related issues.
- Provide expert advice on security systems and recommend upgrades as needed.
- Maintain an organized inventory of locksmithing tools and replacement parts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a similar role within the security industry.
- In-depth knowledge of various locking mechanisms, including electronic locks and keyless entry systems.
- Certification from a recognized locksmithing program is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective client interaction.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site service calls.
