Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Design and customize lenses and frames according to written optical prescriptions and client specifications.
- Measure clients for eyeglass size, ensuring proper fit and alignment with facial and eye measurements.
- Assist clients with the selection of frames that enhance their style and meet their vision correction requirements.
- Provide guidance on the insertion, removal, and care of contact lenses.
- Prepare detailed work orders for the optical laboratory, including instructions for lens grinding and mounting.
- Verify the accuracy and quality of finished spectacles to ensure client satisfaction.
- Adjust frames and lens positions to achieve optimal fit and comfort for clients.
- Shape or reshape frames as necessary to improve fit and appearance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an opticianry program preferred.
- State licensure or certification as an optician (where applicable).
- Strong understanding of optical prescriptions, lens types, and frame styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients.
- Proficiency in using optical instruments and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in measurements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service.
