Job Brief
As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, you will perform therapeutic massages targeting soft tissues and joints to alleviate pain, stress, and muscle tension. Your role will involve assessing client needs, proposing therapy plans, and enhancing overall wellness through various massage techniques. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, to meet client needs.
- Assess clients’ physical condition and discuss their medical history to tailor massage therapy plans effectively.
- Evaluate range of motion, muscle strength, and physical limitations to design appropriate treatment strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe massage environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend complementary wellness practices.
- Document client treatment plans, progress, and feedback to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques and practices.
Requirements
- Valid state massage therapy license or certification from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a massage therapist or practitioner, with a strong understanding of various massage modalities.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to massage therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing client records and appointments.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
