Job Brief
As a Lens Mounter, you will be responsible for cutting, grinding, and polishing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other precision optical elements. This role requires proficiency in assembling and mounting lenses into frames while ensuring high-quality standards and precise optical performance. Responsibilities
- Cut, grind, and polish various types of lenses to meet specific optical requirements.
- Assemble and mount lenses into frames while ensuring accurate alignment and fit.
- Operate precision lens polishers, grinders, and centerer-edgers to achieve desired lens specifications.
- Inspect lenses and frames for defects, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
- Maintain and calibrate optical equipment for optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow efficiency.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials and inventory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the workplace.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in optics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in lens mounting or related optical manufacturing roles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate precision optical machinery.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to optical manufacturing.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and process documentation.
