Job Brief
The Lens Grinder and Polisher is responsible for cutting, grinding, and polishing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other precision optical elements. Responsibilities
- Operate precision grinding and polishing machinery to shape and finish optical lenses.
- Measure and verify lens specifications to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Assemble and mount lenses into various frames, ensuring a secure fit.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to optimize production efficiency and lens quality.
- Inspect finished lenses for defects and ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in optical lens production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in optical technology preferred.
- Proven experience as a Lens Grinder and Polisher or similar role in optical manufacturing.
- Strong technical skills with precision grinding and polishing tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of optical materials and their properties.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the optical industry.
