Job Brief
As a Lawn Service Worker, you will be responsible for the landscape maintenance and aesthetic upkeep of residential and commercial properties. This role requires hands-on experience with various lawn care techniques, including mowing, trimming, and planting. Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain a well-groomed appearance.
- Install sod, plants, and shrubs to enhance property landscapes.
- Water and fertilize lawns and gardens to promote healthy growth.
- Utilize power equipment and hand tools for various landscaping duties, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
- Dig, rake, and level soil as needed to prepare for planting and installations.
- Install and maintain sprinkler systems to ensure adequate irrigation.
- Monitor and manage weed growth through appropriate removal and preventative measures.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional landscaping certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices, pest management, and lawn care techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment and tools safely.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation to job sites.
