Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architect to plan and design land areas for various projects, including parks, recreational facilities, airports, highways, hospitals, schools, land subdivisions, and commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape design, project management, and environmental sustainability, with a proven ability to create innovative and functional outdoor spaces. This role requires proficiency in design software and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality landscape architecture solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop landscape design concepts and plans for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and sustainability practices.
  • Conduct site analysis and assessments to inform design decisions and optimize land use.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and urban planners to integrate landscape elements into overall project designs.
  • Create detailed drawings, specifications, and presentation materials using industry-standard software, including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather input, present design proposals, and address feedback effectively.
  • Research and stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions in landscape design.
  • Supervise the implementation of landscape projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to design specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect (PLA) preferred or required in certain jurisdictions.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape design, project management, and site planning.
  • Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and GIS applications.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, botany, and sustainable design practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in planning and execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
