Job Brief
As a Keyboard Instrument Repairer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various keyboard instruments, including pianos, organs, and synthesizers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in keyboard instruments to determine necessary repairs.
- Perform tuning, regulation, and voicing of pianos and other keyboard instruments.
- Repair and replace defective parts, including hammers, strings, and action components.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure instruments remain in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with musicians to understand their specific needs and preferences for instrument performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each instrument.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in keyboard instrument repair.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients and musicians.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a keyboard instrument repairer or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of keyboard instrument mechanics and electronics.
- Certification in musical instrument repair or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work with hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform repairs and lifting as necessary.
