Job Brief
The Keno Writer is responsible for facilitating a smooth betting experience for patrons by managing wagers on various races and sporting events. Responsibilities
- Post and communicate information to enable patrons to wager on keno, bingo, and other games.
- Assist in the operation of keno and bingo games, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
- Operate random number-generating equipment and announce numbers clearly to patrons.
- Receive, verify, and accurately record patrons’ wagers, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.
- Scan and process winning tickets, efficiently managing payouts to patrons.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Stay informed about gaming rules and regulations to ensure compliance and promote responsible gaming.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in gaming or customer service preferred.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate ticket processing and payouts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patrons.
- Ability to operate gaming equipment, including random number generators and ticket scanners.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and responsible gaming practices.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
