The Joint Preservationist is a specialized medical professional responsible for diagnosing and performing surgical interventions to treat and prevent rheumatic and other diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. Responsibilities
- Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through comprehensive patient evaluations and diagnostic imaging.
- Perform advanced surgical procedures aimed at preserving joint function and alleviating pain.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic diseases.
- Utilize minimally invasive surgical techniques to enhance recovery and reduce complications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists, to optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on joint preservation strategies and post-operative care.
- Conduct research to stay updated on the latest advancements in joint preservation and rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with residency training in orthopedic surgery or relevant specialty.
- Board certification in orthopedic surgery or equivalent certification preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and joint preservation techniques.
- Proven experience in surgical procedures related to joint preservation and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
- Strong understanding of patient assessment and management in orthopedic care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Current state medical license and DEA registration.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
