As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding an organization’s information systems and networks. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive information and computer networks.
- Conduct thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate fixes.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper security controls are integrated into new systems.
- Generate reports on security incidents and propose improvements to existing security measures.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees about cybersecurity best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
