Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Gas Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assembling, installing, altering, and repairing pipelines and pipe systems that transport various liquids and gases, including water, steam, and air. The role involves installing heating and cooling equipment, as well as mechanical control systems. Responsibilities
- Assemble and install pipelines and pipe systems for the efficient transport of gases and liquids.
- Alter and repair existing piping systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Install heating and cooling equipment, including HVAC systems and mechanical controls.
- Conduct thorough inspections of installed systems to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients regarding gas fitting systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Industrial Gas Fitter or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Technical diploma or certification in plumbing, gas fitting, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of gas fitting codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment specific to gas fitting and pipe installation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
