Job Brief
As a Hydraulic Elevator Constructor, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic and electric freight or passenger elevators, escalators, and dumbwaiters. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and experience in the elevator construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install hydraulic elevators and escalators in commercial and residential buildings.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in elevator systems.
- Repair and replace defective parts, including hydraulic pumps, control panels, and cables.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Adhere to all local building codes and regulations during installations and repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service records and equipment maintenance logs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a hydraulic elevator constructor or similar role in the elevator industry.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
