Job Brief
As a House Wirer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards to ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new and existing buildings.
- Perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems and components to identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Install and service street lights, intercom systems, and electrical control systems as required.
- Diagnose electrical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience as a House Wirer or in a similar electrical role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
