Job Brief
As a Hotel Reservationist, you will be responsible for managing guest reservations and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will facilitate booking processes for transportation and lodging, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Manage and confirm reservations for lodging and transportation, utilizing hotel booking systems and software.
- Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to assist guests in making informed decisions.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to bookings, cancellations, and changes in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests via phone, email, and in-person to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records related to reservations.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate guest services and special requests.
- Track and analyze reservation trends to optimize occupancy rates and revenue.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth transition.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a hotel reservation or front desk role preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and booking software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A customer-oriented mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
