Job Brief

The Homeowner Association Manager oversees the effective governance and operational management of residential communities, including homeowner and condominium associations. This role is pivotal in planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to property management, ensuring compliance with community rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, significant experience in real estate management, and a comprehensive understanding of community association operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and budgets for homeowner associations.
  • Facilitate communication between homeowners, board members, and service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure adherence to community guidelines and maintenance standards.
  • Administer contracts for community services, including maintenance, landscaping, and security.
  • Organize and lead board meetings, annual meetings, and community events.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes among residents, promoting a harmonious community atmosphere.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates on community financial health.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting homeowner associations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or homeowner association management.
  • Strong knowledge of community association laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Certification as a Community Association Manager (CAM) or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
