Job Brief
The High School Special Education Resource Teacher plays a vital role in fostering academic, social, and life skills for secondary school students with diverse learning needs, including emotional, physical, and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities

- Utilize adaptive teaching methods and assistive technology to support diverse learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary to ensure educational growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote a cohesive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation in compliance with special education regulations.
- Advocate for students’ needs within the school and community, fostering a supportive educational atmosphere.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students with disabilities in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
