Job Brief
The Heat and Frost Insulator Helper plays a vital role in assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of insulation systems for piping, ductwork, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of insulation materials, including fiberglass, foam, and mineral wool, to ensure optimal thermal efficiency.
- Support skilled insulators in the preparation of surfaces and application of insulation to piping, ducts, and equipment.
- Handle tools and equipment safely, including cutting tools, measuring devices, and protective gear.
- Transport and organize insulation materials to and from job sites, ensuring all supplies are readily available.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety guidelines and protocols.
- Assist in the removal and disposal of old insulation materials while adhering to environmental regulations.
- Participate in on-the-job training and development to enhance skills and knowledge of insulation practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Familiarity with safety practices and regulations in the construction industry.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
