Job Brief
As a Hearse Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting deceased individuals to funeral homes and cemeteries while providing compassionate service to grieving families. Responsibilities
- Operate a hearse or funeral vehicle to transport deceased individuals in a safe and timely manner.

- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the hearse, ensuring it is presentable and in optimal working condition.
- Coordinate with funeral directors and staff to follow scheduled transportation plans and timelines.
- Provide support to families during transportation, offering assistance as needed while maintaining a respectful demeanor.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
- Document mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records as required.
- Respond to any emergencies or unexpected situations with professionalism and composure.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a funeral or transportation setting.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and navigation tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with families and funeral staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and discretion.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in transportation or funeral service are a plus.
