Job Brief
As a Hat Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish headwear that captures current fashion trends and meets market demands. This role requires a blend of creativity and technical skills to design original hats or adapt existing styles. The ideal candidate will have experience in fashion design, a strong portfolio showcasing previous work, and proficiency in design software. Responsibilities
- Research and analyze fashion trends to inform hat design concepts.
- Create original hat designs using sketches, digital illustrations, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs meet production standards.
- Select appropriate materials, colors, and embellishments for each design.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with marketing teams to assist in promoting new hat collections.
- Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a hat designer or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical design skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of materials, patterns, and production processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams.
- Ability to adapt designs based on market research and customer feedback.
- Knowledge of garment construction and fashion forecasting is a plus.
