Job Brief
The Harpoon (An/Swg 1A) Engagement Planning Operator is responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining advanced weapon systems used to neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This role requires adept technical skills in operating weapons targeting systems and engaging in preventive maintenance on missiles and torpedoes. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Harpoon (An/Swg 1A) systems, ensuring optimal functionality during engagement operations.
- Conduct thorough testing, inspection, and storage of ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes to adhere to safety and operational standards.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on weapons and associated equipment to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain secure radio and wire communications for effective coordination during missions.
- Utilize weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to execute engagement plans accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze target data and adjust operational strategies accordingly.
- Document operational activities and maintenance records to comply with military regulations and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in military operations, particularly with naval artillery systems.
