The Gunnery/Ordnance Officer plays a critical role in overseeing the effective management and operation of artillery and munitions within military operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of artillery operations and munitions management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards related to the handling and storage of ordnance.
- Conduct training and drills for personnel in the operation and maintenance of weapons systems.
- Analyze mission requirements and develop tactical plans for effective artillery support.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of ordnance systems, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with other military units to ensure integrated operations and mission success.
- Maintain accurate records of ammunition inventory, usage, and maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support in the deployment of artillery and explosive devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Military Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in military operations, particularly in artillery or ordnance roles.
- Strong knowledge of munitions, weapon systems, and tactical operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using military software and systems for planning and logistics.
- Certification in explosives safety and ordnance management preferred.
- Ability to work under high-pressure conditions and make quick decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective coordination with team members and other units.
