Job Brief
As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of various properties. Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging of lawns and gardens.
- Plant, water, and fertilize trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure optimal growth.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drainage solutions.
- Lay sod and prepare soil for planting to enhance property appearance.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and perform necessary repairs.
- Assist in the installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, landscape design, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape installation techniques.
