Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Grocery Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in receiving, storing, and issuing merchandise to ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and organized. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate power equipment. Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect merchandise deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Store items in designated locations within the stockroom and sales floor.
- Restock shelves, racks, and displays to ensure product availability.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and locate items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales areas.
- Operate power equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Mark prices on merchandise and set up promotional displays as directed.
- Assist in inventory management by participating in stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in grocery or retail stock roles is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and stock replenishment processes.
- Basic math skills for pricing and inventory calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid certification for operating power equipment is a plus.
