Job Brief
The Golf Cart Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling small engines utilized in golf carts and related recreational equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates will possess experience in small engine repair, as well as a solid understanding of electrical systems and hydraulic components commonly found in golf carts.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in golf carts and recreational vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and battery checks.
- Repair or replace damaged parts, such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Overhaul small engines to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess vehicle conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in golf cart technology.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in small engine repair is preferred.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, specifically with small engines and recreational vehicles.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in engine repair.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- ASE certification in small engine repair is a plus.
