Job Brief
The Glass Block Bender is responsible for molding, shaping, and crafting various products using materials such as glass, clay, plaster, and concrete. Responsibilities
- Mold and shape glass blocks using specialized bending and forming techniques.
- Collaborate with design teams to understand product specifications and requirements.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Maintain and operate bending machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and mix materials as necessary for various product types.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust processes to meet deadlines.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used.
- Implement and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Glass Block Bender or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials and their properties, specifically glass and clay.
- Familiarity with bending and molding equipment and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as required.
